Notification: SAHA utilizes a minimum of two notification procedures: (1) DemandStar by Onvia (free online viewing of all advertisements for bid) and (2) an active Bulletin Board located at: SAHA's Central Office 818 South Flores San Antonio, Texas 78204 Additionally SAHA may from time to time utilize additional notification mechanisms such as newspapers, journals, publications, etc. About DemandStar: SAHA strongly encourages all vendors to join DemandStar or at least visit the DemandStar website on a weekly basis. Joining DemandStar costs $50 a year (for access to Bexar County agencies using DemandStar) and will provide the following benefits: * DemandStar connects you to millions of dollars in government contracts including those available at SAHA. You specify the types of bids you want to receive and DemandStar notifies you when a government agency has an opportunity that matches your business. There is no need to scan the newspapers or trade journals to learn of opportunities at SAHA. * DemandStar members can view bid tabulation sheets and bid contract documents of the winning contractor/vendors!!! * DemandStar will send you a fax or email when opportunities that match your business are posted. * You can download as many bid specifications as you desire, as often as you desire, from anywhere.... For FREE. Distribution: Once you identify business opportunities of interest, there are two ways to receive bidding documents: (1) DemandStar: All Bidding documents are downloadable from DemandStar for FREE to DemandStar members. If you are not a member of DemandStar, you will be allowed to view bid notices for FREE, but will be charged $5.00 for the bid specification you are requesting to download. To become a member of DemandStar, click here (2) Pickup from SAHA: All bidding documents are also available for pickup at the San Antonio Housing Authority Office of Procurement and Contract Administration, 818 South Flores, San Antonio, Texas 78204 Bid Documents may be viewed for free. However, SAHA will charge a reproduction fee of $10 plus 10 cents per page. Due to Financial constraints, SAHA will no longer mail, fax or E-mail any bid specifications.
