About SAHA

Our vision is to create dynamic
communities where people thrive.

Senior Team

Since 1937, the San Antonio Housing Authority (SAHA) has committed more than 80 years to building and maintaining affordable housing for the residents of San Antonio.

SAHA provides housing assistance to more than 65,000 children, adults and seniors through its Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher and Mixed-Income housing programs. The Agency employs more than 525 individuals, with an annual operating budget of $186 million, and real estate assets valued at over $500 million.

As a compassionate agency, we understand safe and quality affordable housing is the foundation to success, and we have the privilege of managing nearly 70 public housing communities, 46 mixed-income apartment complexes, known as Beacon Communities, and administering nearly 14,000 rental vouchers throughout San Antonio.

SAHA is the stepping stone for many families who are working to become self-sufficient and ultimately achieve their dreams of homeownership, and we believe they can.

The San Antonio Housing Authority provides quality affordable housing that is well integrated into the fabric of neighborhoods and serves as a foundation to improve lives and advance resident independence.

Happiness is a shared success.

Create dynamic communities where people thrive.

We hold ourselves accountable to spur economic growth through the awarding of local contractors with housing development projects, obtaining real estate and administering rental subsidies with private property owners.

We are a community full of hope, dreams and ambition. For more than 80 years, SAHA has helped San Antonians with access to affordable housing and social services, becoming a close-knit community dedicated to helping each other. With more than 50,000 residents, 500 staff, hundreds of partners and volunteers, we are one SAHA family and we are the face of this community.
