The Legacy at Alazán
The SAHA Board of Commissioners approved to enter into a development agreement with the NRP Group to construct The Legacy at Alazán — formerly referred to as Alazan Lofts — a 88-unit family development in the near Westside of San Antonio. The Legacy at Alazán is the most subsidized affordable housing development in San Antonio with 80 low income housing tax credit units, of which 40 are public housing. Construction is expected to begin in summer 2020 and expected to be completed in fall 2021.

SAHA is completing the final phase of the Choice Neighborhoods Implementation Plan and constructing the last third and final development, East Meadows II.

MAJESTIC RANCH APARTMENTS
SAHA and Homespring Residential Services (HRS) partnered to implement a comprehensive development project on 12.566 acres of land, owned by SAHA and located at the northwest corner of Culebra Road and Mira Vista Road. Michael Hogan with HRS offered to develop 14.79 acres of land he owns at 4847 Callaghan Road, known as Majestic Ranch and two miles down from the site, and combine his acreage with SAHA to build a development that will include multi-family rentals, live-work units, retail, and non-residential opportunities. The developer is proposing the construction of a 288-unit, multi-family property on the land, using private activity bonds and 4 percent tax credits. The rental units will compromise of 15 residential buildings, to include 92 one-bedroom units, 167 two-bedroom units and 32 three-bedroom units.
MIRA VISTA APARTMENTS
Mira Vista Apartments on the city’s far Westside which will consist of 312 family units, all of which will be low-income housing tax credit units. Construction is projected to begin in July 2020, and is expected to be completed by January 2022.
OUR LADY OF CHARITY
SAHA is planning to transform the Convent at Springview on Grimes Street into a 72-unit apartment complex called Our Lady of Charity. The plans will include renovations to B and C Buildings and the former Miller Child Development Center building.
Tampico Apartments in the city’s near Westside which will consist of 200 family units, 136 of which will be low-income housing tax credit units. Construction is projected to begin in July 2020 and completed by January 2022.
