Wi-Fi for Residents

THE DIGITAL DIVIDE

Only half of the lowest income families across the United States have internet connectivity in their homes, creating a digital divide that prevents low-income individuals from accessing resources online.

Bridging the barrier in the 19th worst connected city in the nation, the Opportunity Home San Antonio is at the frontline of digital inclusion connecting one community at a time.

BRIDGING THE DIVIDE
THE CHALLENGE
The Opportunity Home San Antonio provides housing assistance to over 65,000 children, adults, and senior citizens who are most vulnerable to the digital divide. A majority of the individuals Opportunity Home serves are families with children.

These are working parents who are making ends meet on less than a $12,500 annual household income. These families are often faced with tough choices about their finances and means a car payment or education often takes priority over Internet connectivity.
