As the Director of Security for Opportunity Home, Domingo Ibarra oversees the organization’s safety and security functions, managing and directing a comprehensive, organization-wide security program.
With more than 34 years of public safety experience, Domingo has served as Chief of Police for Magnolia, Texas, and as President and CEO of the Police Officers Association in Corpus Christi. He retired from two municipal police departments and brings extensive experience in security operations, personnel management and maintaining safe environments.
Domingo is skilled in coordinating local law enforcement resources and working with neighborhood groups to strengthen public safety through a collaborative, servant-leadership approach. He has a strong record of developing and implementing safety plans in partnership with community stakeholders.
He holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences from the University of the Incarnate Word, a Master of Science in Criminology from Texas A&M University, and a Master Peace Officer certification from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement.
