Thomas Roth oversees the agency’s Asset Management function including strategic oversight and capital planning for SAHA’s real estate holdings consisting of land, commercial properties, Public Housing, Beacon portfolio, and mixed finance developments. Duties include developing and executing strategies for acquisition, sale, financing, and repositioning of SAHA owned assets. He is also responsible for the management and administration of grants awarded under HUD’s Capital Fund Program. He has over 26 years of experience in real estate with an emphasis on multifamily asset management, servicing, underwriting, and problem asset resolution. Prior to joining SAHA in 2013, he held management level positions with major financial institutions and has extensive knowledge on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac multifamily lending programs for market rate, tax credit, mixed use, and senior housing properties. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Fordham University and a Masters of Business Administration in finance from St. John’s University. He holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from the National Association of Realtors and has been a presenter and panelist on asset management topics at both state and national NAHRO conferences.
