Beth Keel, SAHA’s Sustainable Initiatives Specialist, was recently honored by Build San Antonio Green (BSAG) for being a “Green Building Champion.”

During her 2½ years with SAHA, Beth has been a strong advocate for green and sustainable initiatives, to include encouraging the use of BSAG standards for the agency’s development and modernization projects.

Thanks in large part to Beth, SAHA’s Mirabella Apartments has the distinction of being the first multi-family project ever certified through BSAG!
Beth also spearheaded the initiative to retrofit the Lewis Chatham Apartments through the BSAG program. The Chatham modernization project received a 2012 City of San Antonio Green Building Award, and was also the very first multi-family retrofit project certified through BSAG.
SAHA has now made the decision to certify every new, retrofit, single or multifamily project to BSAG Level Two standards.

Congratulations to Beth for successfully leading SAHA’s green and sustainability efforts!
