SAN ANTONIO — More kids will get to experience the magic of science across San Antonio thanks to a $100,000 donation from The Boeing Company.
- Geekbus STEM Club will serve almost 1,500 students

Now the Geekbus STEM Club will be able to serve almost 1,500 students.
This expansion will especially help give students in low-income areas more access to science and technology programs. It is a partnership between Boeing, San Antonio Museum of Science and Technology, Opportunity Home San Antonio and Port San Antonio.
On Wednesday night, Geekbus held an open house for students at the Missions Neighborhood Community Center on the South Side.
The Geekbus offers 18 different programs, teaching lessons in topics including 3-D printing, electricity and video game editing.
This will help some students develop skills for careers they already know they want to pursue.
“When I grow up, I want to be a scientist,” said Graciela Vazquez, a sixth grade student. “I want to be a computer worker and also a scientist because those are the two things that I really want to be.”
“I was already planning to be an electrician or something because I really like electricity,” said Daniel Gonzales, a fifth-grade student.
